About the event

The Sales Professional Network and Regional Skills West in partnership with Galway Executive Skillnet and Glenlo Abbey Hotel and Estate are delighted to bring this exciting event “Leading the Global Charge, Women in International Sales” Keynote speakers include:

  • Pamela Laird: Celebrity Nail Technician and Beauty Entrepreneur

Pamela Laird is a Dublin native with a passion for all things beauty. She is on the speed dial of magazine editors and brands alike when it comes to creating beautiful nails for photoshoots. Pamela’s work has appeared on the cover of US Vogue, Irish Tatler and Image magazine among other well-known publications.

Pamela is also the creator of the revolutionary beauty brand Moxi Loves bringing innovative, clever, clean beauty products to the market.

Pamela has also appeared as a contestant on RTE’s Dragons Den and in 2019, was one of the most high-achieving candidates to appear in series fifteen of BBC’s The Apprentice. Since coming third on the hit show, Pamela is expanding her ever successful beauty brand and shows no signs of slowing down.

  • Emma has worked within Learning and Organisation Development for many years. Her experience has been centred on working with sales teams and leaders.

She believes sales training should take on its least complicated form and from this thinking, she crafted a very clear technique specifically designed to be customer focused and not product focused. This was introduced to salespeople on Day 1 of their training and allowed the exploration of customer centric conversations that were more open and confident.

Engagement is of crucial importance and feels the best way to learn is to connect through storytelling and shared experiences.

Three years ago, she pursued a coaching qualification, understanding that sales professionals and leaders could leverage this to create individual paths in their sales journeys and how to gain effectiveness both personally and in their professional field.

Last year, she made the decision to make back into a sales role that allowed her to stay close to her L&D roots and work with organisations to map out their own journeys around change, development, and growth.
